Teacher: Very well. I’ve got a letter
from Harry Potter. Listen to me attentively.
Hello,
My name is Harry Potter. I am
from London.
I’m 11. I have no parents, but I have two good friends.
We go to Hogwarts school. It
is big and old. We learn magic there. Our school uniform is black.
We have three holidays:
Christmas, Easter and summer holidays.
I like playing quidditch with
my friends and flying on my broom.
People say I’m kind, funny and
brave. But I think I’m a normal boy who loves adventures.
T e a c h e r : Look through the text again and fill in the blanks. Take
your pencils and your cards and answer my questions.

T e a c h e r : You’ve got smiles on your desks. Now, please, evaluate
your work.

T e a c h e r : Look at the screen. This is the
coat of arms of Hogwarts school. Let’s read the motto of the school.
We are
strong when we are united,
we are
weak when we are divided.
Can these words be the motto of our class,
our school and our country?
Please, tell me your opinion using these
phrases:
I agree
I disagree
I think so
I don’t think so.
That’s true.
I’m against it.
4. T e a c h e r : Now
let’s stand up and relax to the relaxing music.
Imagine you are in a magic
forest.
You are like a magic river,
floating very far.
You are magic birds. You are
flying.
You are magic trees.
You are magic flowers.
5. T e a c h e r : Look at the
board. What things can you see in Harry Potter’s classroom? Choose one.
Pupil 1: I can see a magic broom in HP’s classroom.
Pupil 2: I can see a magic book in HP’s classroom.
Pupil 3: I can see a wand in HP’s

Pupil 4: I can see a gown in HP’s classroom.
T e a c h e r : Take cards and let us describe our classroom. What can
you see in our classroom? You can use these structures and words.
We have got… a

We can see… flowers
pictures
a lot of desks
many chairs

a board
lamps
a door
6. T e a c h e r : Now you can

with its definition.

and flowers

Group Work
T e a c h e r : You will work in
groups. Each group has got a card. You
see that some days have a timetable, the
others - do not.
► Your first task is to write down
what you should do at the lessons that you can find on the desk. For example,
you have Literature on Monday, so next to it you should write — read funny
stories and discuss them.
► When the first task is done, you
should raise your hand to let me know you are ready.
► Your second task is to
complete the timetable of the week. To do it you will ask questions like this:
What should you do at the first lesson on Tuesday? The other group will answer
without giving the name of the subject. For example, "We should do sums at
the first lesson on Tuesday".
► The first group writes down the
subject into the grid, in this case it will be Math. You should not check your
answers at this moment.
► Then there is the second group's
turn to ask a question.
► When you complete the timetable of the week, we will
check it together.
8. T e a c h e r : Is HP a good
student? Are you good students? Show me your smiles.
Be honest.
T e a c h e r : Now you can see a very good saying of professors of Hogwarts School:
Your teacher can open the door,
but you must enter by yourseves.
Please, answer my question: Do you agree with this saying?
9. Interactive game “Magic
spin”.
